Seven Homeschooled Children

This is from a blog I read called "Poundyblog". But what really got me going when I read this was how accurately she nailed a feeling I have all the time but which I call the "it could be worse" syndrome. As in, well, I have no right to bitch/worry/feel sorry for myself/blow things off because really, it could be so much worse...I could have seven homeschooled children to be raising AND be dealing with my own crazy full time working parent with creative pretentions mode.

But I love this phrase and I think I will swipe it as a special kind of secret code motivational phrase, especially when I'm feeling lazy about the writing.

(The other thing I whisper to myself as motivation, oddly enough, is "J.K. Rowling". Cos she wrote Harry Potter as a broke single mom sitting at cafes. Course she wasn't working full time...but still.)
